The guy with the mustache is Eugenio. 15 years ago he help me find my grandfather’s records as well. Great people in Goriano, and it seems like half of them are my cousins.

Thank you Kristen for the nice words about me. I’m happy about Michael being part of the gang!
Cinque Terre is wonderful, but you’ll fall in love with Abruzzo also: in this region we have beaches on a beautiful see, the highest mountains of all Appennini chain, lakes, old towns: some were founded before ancient Roma, good food, safe and “slow” life and, most of all, wonderful Abruzzesi people. Buon viaggio e ci vediamo presto qui in Italia.

How awesome that it is Sandro’s mission to help make the connection you wanted! You were probably a gift to him. When we got to the B&B in Cinque, we immediately and spontaneously asked to stay another night cuz it was so beautiful. Had to make adjustments for the rest of the trip but well worth it. You could probably do that too. Be a little spontaneous with places. Your trip is sounding so wonderful!
